Poetryspective Roadshow Saturday 29 June 4.00 - 6.00pm

About the Show

Join poets Colin Clark (Maryborough), Leni Shilton (Newstead), Bonny Cassidy (Castlemaine) and Ross Gillett (Daylesford) as they recite and perform their works and call for poets from the floor to do the same in the open-mic spots in between.

Colin Clark

Colin Clark lives off-grid at the base of Mount Glasgow and is a regular on the spoken word scene in Melbourne, Ballarat and in the Goldfields.  His work is usually driven by his dark sense of humour and the badly-hidden messages can be embraced or ignored at your leisure. Colin Clark is the winner of the RetroSlam Peoples choice award for 2023.

Bonny Cassidy

Bonny Cassidy

Bonny Cassidy Bonny Cassidy is the author of three poetry collections and a book of nonfiction. She lives in the box-ironbark forest outside Chewton and teaches at RMIT University.

Leni Shilton

Leni Shilton

Leni Shilton is a poet and researcher. She grew up in Papua New Guinea and Melbourne and lived in Mparntwe (Alice Springs)  for many years. Her book Walking with Camels (2018, UWAP) won the 2020 NT Chief Minister’s Book Award. Leni regularly judges national literary awards including the 2020 Stella Prize.

Ross Gillett’s most recent books, published by Puncher and Wattmann, are The Mirror Hurlers (2019) and Swimmer in the Dust (2022). His awards include the Newcastle Poetry Prize, the John Shaw Neilson, Woorilla, Robert Harris and NSW and Melbourne Poets Union prizes, and the Daylesford Words in Winter Poetry Prize.
