Gail Rice is a psychologist in private practice—a career she started at fifty. For fifteen years, she taught courses on writing as a therapeutic tool. Her essay Birthday Surprise was published in The Good Weekend SMH in 2024. She is enthused about starting a new career as a writer, is working on a memoir, and has no plans to retire from her clinical work.
