(Ventura, 2019) and For what has been and what will be appeared in Grandmothers, Edited by Helen Elliot, (Text Publishing, 2020). She is an honorary fellow in the Department of Communication and Creative Arts, Deakin University. She previously presented a range of ABC programs, notably Books and Writing and later The Book Show.

Lee Kofman is the author and editor of eight books, including Imperfect (Affirm Press), which was shortlisted for Nib Literary Award 2019, and Split (Ventura Press), which was longlisted for ABIA 2020. Gail Rice is a psychologist in private practice—a career she started at fifty. For fifteen years, she taught courses on writing as a therapeutic tool. Her essay Birthday Surprise was published in The Good Weekend SMH in 2024. She is enthused about starting a new career as a writer, is working on a memoir, and has no plans to retire from her clinical work.
